Tamara began serving as the Communications Coordinator for the Presbytery of Genesee Valley in March 2026. She is a retired professor emeritus of communication at Monroe Community College and was a former news producer at WROC-TV8. She has degrees in broadcast journalism, social work and dance from Ithaca College and Syracuse University.

Tamara has been a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Byron where she sings in the choir and is a former Elder, youth group coordinator and director of the children's Byron Peace Choir. During the 90s she was a member of the Downtown United Presbyterian Church where she also sang in the choir, directed the children's Joyful Noise Choir, and was an editor forĀ That All May Freely Serve with Rev. Janie Spahr. Camp Whitman has a special place in Tamara's heart. She was a camper and a counselor there (as were both her daughters, her brother and her father).

Tamara loves playing clarinet with the Genesee Valley Wind Ensemble and spending summer weekends on Seneca Lake. Her favorite spot at home is her front porch swing which has a view of her neighbor's horses grazing in the pasture across the road. Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 96: "Sing unto the Lord a new song," the verse given to her when Revs. Gail and Anthony Ricciuti presented her with her first Bible as a young child. Her favorite hymn is "It Is Well With My Soul."
