Book CoverBK DDX 004 WISDOM OF THE SEASONS, THE: HOW THE CHURCH YEAR HELPS US UNDERSTAND OUR CONGREGATIONAL STORIES Author: Charles M. Olsen
The church year is often seen as a framework for church programs, but the author shows readers how it can be a prism through which congregations more deeply understand their own stories. Readers will appreciate the real stories from congregational life and ministry, each rooted in and illuminated by a season of the church year. Reserve this item

Book CoverBK MF1 018 MANAGING POLARITIES IN CONGREGATIONS, EIGHT KEYS FOR THRIVING COMMUNITIES Authors: Roy M. Oswald, Barry Johnson
Congregations often find themselves in power struggles over two opposing views. People on both sides believe strongly that they are right. They also assume that if they are right, their opposition must be wrong, classic "either/or" thinking. When an argument is about two poles of a polarity, both sides are right and need each other to experience the whole truth. The research is clear: leaders and organizations that manage polarities well outperform those who don’t. Reserve this item
