Rev. Amy Williams Fowler, Presbytery Leader

[email protected]

The Presbytery Leader is the chief administrative officer of the Presbytery, acting as head of staff and resourcing its various committees, including the Committee on Ministry. Her responsibilities include stimulating communications between the Presbytery and congregations and representing the Presbytery to denominational governing bodies, as well as in ecumenical settings in the Rochester area.

Amy is a pastor—having served as associate pastor, pastor, and interim pastor for the first fifteen years of ministry in Tennessee, Georgia, Indiana and Illinois. She began presbytery work in 2000, serving in Chicago, Indiana, Missouri, and now in Genesee Valley. A graduate of Duke University, and Princeton Theological Seminary, she is a Doctor of Ministry degree candidate at Columbia Theological Seminary, exploring the intersection of Christian spirituality, missional theology and congregational transformation. Her husband, Gene Fowler, is a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A), and their son, Thomas, is a law student at Boston University. Amy enjoys all kinds of music, especially blue grass and classical, gardening and cooking.
