This 30-hour course fulfills the certification
requirement for CCE or CACE.
This intensive course is designed to provide Presbyterian Christian educators with:
- knowledge and skills that will enable them to have a basic understanding of the contents of the Bible,
- a foundational ability to interpret the Bible in accordance with our Reformed theological heritage, and
- familiarity with resources and skills essential for effective teaching of the Bible in the faith community.
Each of the 10 three-hour sessions will be divided into three segments that focus on:
- Bible content,
- interpretation skills, and
- teaching strategies.
Supplementary material suggested for each class session will enrich the foundational aspects of the course.
